Nails!

It was my 18th birthday on Tuesday and I received mostly money and lots of bits and bobs included two new nail polishes. I'm not fussed about brands of make up but I do love a good quality, long lasting nail varnish. Barry M is one of my favourites so I was suuuper happy to get these two new shades.
1. Instant Nail Effects polish in Purple Rain - £3
2. Nail Paint in Raspberry - £2
I love bright nails and it's very rare that I wear dark polishes so these two are perfect for me.

Rimmel London 5in1 Nail Treat Base and Top Coat - £4
I never ever put polish on before using this. It's just the right consistency and leaves my nails feeling really strong and healthy.

My nails without any polish

And with the base coat. One coat is enough.

My nails after 2 thin coats of the base colour. Dried completely in 5 minutes.

And with the Nail Effects polish. I have a love/hate relationship with crackle polish but I really like this one. Remember to always apply the crackle polish thicker than the base colour for more cracks!

The crackle polish creates a matte finish, I prefer a shiny finish so applied one thin layer of my clear base polish. Finished result:

My last post is different fonts, sizes and colours and I can't change it and it's really annoying!

My make up bag

Well, box. I'm so unorganised with my make up, I buy things, throw them in the box and when they've run out I leave them there... But anyway, here are the main products I use! (Apologies for the awful pictures, it's my first time lol)

Estee Lauder Deluxe Eyeshadow Compact - £21 (out of stock in most shops)
I received this as a gift and was a bit skeptical because usually I absolutely hate eyeshadow but when applied they're quite subtle and (weirdly) smell really good. They blend really well and have lasted me a good 10 months so far. Considering I use the top left shadow almost every single day, that's pretty good!

I don't usually go for mascaras from brands like L'Oreal as I'm a bit of a cheapskate and Avon mascaras usually do the trick for half the price. But I recently went on holiday to France and on the ferry back I had a lot of change left so decided to treat myself. Unfortunately, when the £££ was converted to Euros it cost me quite a pricey €17. But this is by far the best mascara I have ever used. My lashes go double the length and the brush is plastic and curls my lashes really well. Eventually I'll do a little individual post on this!

L'Oreal Super Liner Carbon Gloss Black - £8
This is another product I purchased on the ferry. Again, I wouldn't usually spend that much on a make up product but seeing as I use liquid liner every day I thought I'd give it a try. From using this liner and the mascara, L'Oreal are becoming my favourite make up brand. The brush is the perfect thickness and the liner stays on literally all day until I have to scrub it off at night. So good.

Again, a pricey product received as a gift. This is actually a God send. I'm allergic to A LOT of brands so using make up remover on my eyes is usually a nightmare and ends in me having a fat, swollen face and not being able to see for an hour. This odourless product is really gentle on my skin and takes make up off in a few seconds. You only need a tiny amount for both eyes too which is why not a lot has been used since Christmas. I'd definitely use this again, hopefully it'll reduce in price eventually though!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation in 100 Ivory & 200 Soft Beige - £4/5
I love this foundation as it's very cheap and lasts forever. I never usually go for liquid foundation as my skin doesn't usually cope with it but it actually goes on my skin without any fuss. It's lightweight and a little goes a very long way. Sometimes the beige one can go slightly patchy but when blended properly it gives a really nice, even finish which is great when you have a patchy face like me.

Estee Lauder Deluxe Blush & Bronzer Palette - £16
Again, another gift. I really, really like this palette and use it everyday. The brush isn't very good which is disappointing considering the hefty price tag. A little goes a long way with this too.

AVON SuperShock Mascara Black - £6
I've always loved Avon products and they were the very first make up brand I ever used when I was 13. The mascaras have always lasted me a really long time and this one was really good. The brush is huge and coats/separates every lash perfectly. The only bad point about this is that it dried up quite quickly but once I added a couple of drops of water to the bottle it worked great (thinner) again. I'd definitely use this again.

AVON Extra Lasting Liquid Liner Black - £5
I usually only use this liner for the flicks as the felt tip has a really nice point and is very precise. However the actually liquid isn't very impressive and dried up just 3 weeks after I bought it. Definitely wouldn't recommend this, only the brush!

This is one of my favourite (and cheapest) products. It's really good for my sensitive skin and creates a nice matte finish. It can be quite messy and you have to make sure you're not wearing black when you apply it cause it goes EVERYWHERE but other than that, this is definitely my favourite powder and I use it every day!

This concealer is my daily one, it's pretty thick which can be annoying but I just rub it on my fingers before applying it so it softens up. The price is really good for a Rimmel product and I've had this since my prom in June 2011 so it's lasted a while. It covers your blemishes really well but can make your skin quite dry.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Fashionista - £3
Okay I know what you're probably thinking- "BROWN LIPSTICK?!?!". BUT a little over some lipbalm is really nice and subtle and it smells amazing.

Miss Sporty Studio Lash Liner Black - £2
I bought this when I found out I was allergic to 8968756879356 different liquid liners and it was one of the only ones I wasn't allergic to which is good! It's super cheap and goes on really nice, I use this one to make a little 'beauty spot' underneath my left eye too.

Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil Brown Black - £3
I'm pretty sure 80% of British girls have this pencil. It has a little brush on the end which is good for tidying up brows and the pencil is long lasting and the perfect colour. Definitely worth the whole 3 quid!

Collection 2000 Pressed Powder in Ivory - £2
Okay so this powder isn't very 'pressed' anymore as it gets a bit knocked about in my make up box but I just use a little underneath my eyes and my nose where I get a lot of annoying and unwanted shine. It's not lasted me very long but was only £2 so I'll definitely buy again.

AVON ColourTrend Chill Out Face Illuminator - £2
Don't judge me, this was the very first make up product I ever owned and I'm still using it. I use this to highlight my cheekbones (or lack of) and just below my eyebrows. Nice and subtle.

This is quite difficult to apply as it's not actually very soft like it's supposed to be but it does smudge really well. I wear this just below my bottom waterline occasionally and also for my eyebrows when I (rarely) have dark hair.

This is pretty thick but goes a long way. Most days I actually apply this to my lips mixed with a little Vaseline as it makes a nicer lip colour than blush. Been using this for about 4 years and it's still going!

Sun Protection Vaseline with Shea Butter (SPF 15) - £2
Vaseline is just an essential. I carry it everywhere and also use the original on my eyelashes to strengthen them (stupidly I tend to pick off my mascara along with my eyelashes so this is kind of needed haha)

Exactly the same as the black one but I use this on my eyebrows as (for some strange reason) this pencil is a lot softer than the other Estee Lauder one even though they are exactly the same brand... It blends with my natural lashes really well.

Sexy Mother Pucker Plumping Lip Gloss (Soap & Glory) - £5
I'm not really a lip gloss kind of person but this is so good. I love the tingly feel it gives and it really does make your lips look a lot fuller and moisturised. It lasts for hours and looks really nice over some dark lipstick. Only downer is that it's really thick.

So yeah, there's the majority of my make up! Looking through this I didn't realise just how much decent make up I actually own. Now I know I only have what, 3(?) followers on here (lol) but if anyone good recommend me a lightweight foundation for fair/sensitive skin that'd be great :-)
Apologies for this awful first 'beauty' post!
I'll be doing some individual make up product reviews with photos and stuff in the near future, mainly out of boredom.

Okay so it's pretty clear that I cannot use HTML... at all. But this awful layout will have to do as I'm too lazy to make it look all pretty like everybody's elses.
I used to find "beauty blogs" kind of cringey and annoying but everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon and I actually really enjoy reading people reviews of products and outfit posts and such so I thought I'd give it a go myself.
I have absolutely no idea how this works, I know how to post things and that is about it so if someone could help me and tell me how to follow people, that'd be great...
I'm going to try my best to post lots of up to dates photos and things that people will hopefully be interested in. Yep, that's about it for now.. Let's see how long this lasts!

It's been a while...

I've been SO busy this month, it's been the best Summer yet! I have so many stories to tell but frankly, I'm far too lazy to write them all so here's a brief catch up on my month...
I went away to the gorgeous island of Cyprus on July 22nd. It was so so hot and sunny. 52 degrees C one afternoon! During this holiday I drank my weight in cocktails and Coca Cola and read a couple of books (Atonement- it was amazing, and Shawshank Redemption- also amazing.)
Didn't take many photos as it required effort carrying around my huge camera every time we left the villa but here are a handful I did manage to take:
Plane journey, obviously. (5.5 hours!!!)

The best part of the holiday was being told that we were going to DISNEYLAND PARIS! I was so, so excited to go as I've never been before. We were there from 9am until 1am, my body was aching for 3 days afterwards but it was SO worth it (and was affordable).

We're almost there!!
